POPV Prince of Peace Volunteers also known as the Prince of Peace Corps was a creation of the Lutheran Church. It provided a program similar to Vista or the Peace Corps where volunteers, usually young, would spend one or two years in an American inner city or overseas mission. The salary was menial, just enough to get by. We did a variety of work, much of it quite secular. We did our little part in making the world a better place.
